Lakeshore Horse Racing Association is bracing for an eventful 2021 and tons of excitement for the horse people, as its funding amendment recently received a boost. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation made it clear that the arrangement has been amended and it is now going to cover the upcoming five years of daily operation of the horse racing leader.
Obtaining security during these trying times is essential for all businesses and corporations, as the past months have been quite turbulent for both the gambling and the horse racing fields of Canada. The impact of the unprecedented situation was felt across all Canadian provinces and the horse people relying on the purses associated with live races.

In a recent statement, the Crown corporation overseeing Ontario’s gambling field made it clear that the funding agreement associated with the Lakeshore Horse Racing Association is now going to be extended over the upcoming five years of racing operation. This means that the financial support coming its way is projected to continue at least until March 2026, providing the support the horse racing field needs.
Town of Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain recently expressed his gratitude for the recently announced extension, as it is expected to provide sufficient funding for as many as 15 horse tracks within the borders of Ontario province. What should be pointed out is that the funding agreement will make it possible for the racetracks to introduce well-rounded racing schedules every year until at least 2026.
This was good news for the individuals relying on the industry for their income. Knowing that more live horse races are ahead of them will also motivate ne individuals to join the horse racing world and purchase their first racehorse, for instance. Seeing the perspectives of hefty purses and gambling opportunities is projected to have a positive impact on the entire horse racing field of Ontario.

At that point, that approach failed to meet the expectations and the spring months went on without live racing. However, horse people were continuing grooming and training of the racehorses, as they anticipated the eventual return of live horse racing events.
All physical distancing measures and protocols were in place and they felt protected ahead of the eventual reopening of Woodbine Racetrack and 伍德宾莫霍克公园 among other racetracks. The summer months witnessed the gradual process reviving the field and greenlighting broadcasts on TV, making it possible for more people to watch and follow closely everything happening on the racetrack on raceday.
The year 2021 is expected to see as many as 13 live race dates, but that number could surge to 15 following a request approval. Horse people of the Windsor and Essex area are already preparing for the upcoming live horse racing season.
